Patients abroad
Side effects to Covid-19 vaccines are not just an overlooked problem in Denmark. Here we have collected a selection of documentaries, podcasts and interviews produced on the subject abroad – all of great relevance, as they shed light on the lack of recognition, censorship and legal security problems that also exist in Denmark.
Vaccine side effects occur across national borders. That's why we, together with 22 other nationwide associations, have formed an international association called CVIA (Covid Vaccine Injury Alliance). You can read more here.
You can also read patient stories from some of the Danish side effects sufferers, here on the page under patient reports.

DOCUMENTARY FILM
August 2025 – The Documentary “Inside mRNA Vaccines” goffers us, for the first time, a comprehensive look at the science, questions and concerns behind one of the most sweeping medical innovations in recent times. The film highlights the global rollout of mRNA vaccine technology and the scientific, clinical and regulatory issues that are still being debated. Through interviews with researchers who developed the technology, clinicians who raise critical questions, and patients who experienced unexpected health consequences after vaccination, the documentary provides a nuanced picture of both opportunities and risks. Central to the film are themes such as data transparency, risk assessment, and long-term safety – not to reject science, but to uphold its highest standards.
We share the documentary here because it is relevant to our members, as it sheds light on both the scientific mechanisms and the unresolved questions surrounding mRNA vaccines, including patient stories of serious side effects. It thus contributes to the association's purpose of promoting knowledge, openness, and better conditions for those affected by side effects.
July 2025 – This new international documentary “Inside the vaccine trials – Lived experiences“ highlights personal stories from people around the world who participated in clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines. Many volunteered with the hope of contributing to a global crisis – but several subsequently experienced serious and long-term health consequences. However, their injuries were not documented in the official trial results – and several instead experienced being ignored, excluded or downplayed in further reporting. The film focuses on: The absence of medical recognition and treatment options for those affected, the inclusion of serious adverse events in the final trial data, challenges with censorship and lack of transparency andThe need for a global safety net and real support for vaccine-injured people.
The documentary features testimonies from both trial participants and independent researchers and raises important questions about responsibility, ethics and transparency in vaccine development. You can read more about the film and find the source list and more at www.vaccinetrialstories.com/
Juniversity 2025 – “Why can't we talk about this?” is a Canadian documentary directed by Dean Rainey. It tells the story of Michael Oesch from Ontario, a previously healthy and active man who became seriously ill with neurological damage immediately after his fourth mRNA Covid-19 vaccine dose. Through personal interviews, medical experts and legal commentators, the film uncovers the emotional, physical and societal consequences of vaccine side effects – and problematizes why this conversation is so difficult to initiate in the public.. The film is a raw, intimate depiction of the issue and a clear call for open dialogue and recognition of those affected by side effects.
May 2025 – I “Follow the Silenced” – a new documentary from the US – puts a serious focus on those who were harmed as a result of Covid-19 vaccination. The film tells the heartbreaking story of Americans who trusted science but had their lives changed forever when they participated in the first Covid vaccine trials – the trials that formed the basis for the approval of the vaccines. The people portrayed in the film refused to remain silent, despite censorship, shaming and massive opposition from public authorities and the pharmaceutical industry. PODCASTS/VODCASTS
– Podcast series “Vaccine curious” with Danish vaccine researcher and professor Christine Stabell Benn, examines the effects of vaccines – both intended and unintended. Through conversations with researchers, doctors and experts, the series focuses on scientific nuances, ethics and the gray areas of vaccine policy that are often overlooked in the public debate.
– In “The dearly discarded” The international association React19 gives those affected by side effects a voice at a time when censorship on social media has prevented them from sharing their stories or finding others with the same symptoms. The patient stories of those affected by side effects differ from the stories of other patient groups when it comes to recognition and sympathy. The patients not only experience the disease, but describe how they are largely marginalized by the healthcare system, the media and even their social circle. Many say that their symptoms are dismissed as mental or that they are called misinformation.
